Time to enter “Best Mom” competition

The Hotel at Auburn University, Ariccia Trattoria & Bar and the Opelika-Auburn News have teamed up for the third year in a row to make Mother’s Day a little brighter for one special mom in East Alabama with the “Best Mom in East Alabama” contest. 

Children may submit a letter of 300 words or less explaining why their mother is the “Best Mom in East Alabama.”  The grand prize winner will be chosen on the merit of his/her letter, and a random drawing will chose another mother to receive a second-place award.

The contest is open to all East Alabama children 18 years old and younger.  The grand prize winner will be chosen by the staff at the Opelika-Auburn News.  The winning mother and her family will receive an overnight stay on May 9, 2009 in a new suite at The Hotel at Auburn University and free Mother’s Day Brunch at Ariccia on May 10, 2009.  The mother chosen for the second-place award will receive Mother’s Day Brunch at Ariccia for her and her family on May 10, 2009.
