American Cancer Society of Lee County

Mission: The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service.

Projects:
Organization offers multiple ways for all ages to get involved through patient support, fund-raising and advocacy role opportunities. Female cancer survivors can visit with newly diagnosed patients through Reach to Recovery. Anyone can start a team for Relay For Life, the nation’s largest fund-raising event or recruit grassroots members for ACS CAN, the American Cancer Society’s advocacy affiliate. These are just a few of the many opportunities to get involved with the American Cancer Society.
