Ten Weeks ago, Hagan Marlin, a first grader at Lee Scott Academy, wrote a Cub Reporter story about the plight of frogs around the world. Hagan gave us a list of ways he planned to help.
To see Hagan’s original story log on to http://www.oacubreporter.com, go to the archive and take a look at the November 29 issue.
Last week Hagan completed #7 on his list by donating $198.92 to Amphibian Ark, a nonprofit organization that helps save Amphibians.

I saved money to save the frogs by collecting aluminum cans, finding money around the house, on the ground in parking lots and stores. I did extra chores to get some extra money and when I help with laundry, I get to keep any change I find. My mom gave me $1 for every book I read and some of our family and friends did too. I put my tooth fairy money to it and some of my Christmas money too. Sometimes my Dad and Granddad would let me have the change in their pocket if I asked them. I took my bucket of money to the bank and got a check for Amphibian Ark. I mailed them the check on Friday. When we got home from the bank, I started looking for money to fill my bucket for the frogs again.
