Scary Story!

The Haunting Nightmare

  Jonathan Hudgins,
          4th Grade,  Northside Elementary

It was a cold, eerie, Halloween night when a small fourth grade boy, John, was getting his costume on that looked like Dracula. This night was his favorite holiday. He was ready for the Halloween night.
He opened his door and strolled outside his house on Guthrie Street. He walked to his friend, Cole’s, house who lived on Sam Street. He rang the doorbell. They left the house and started the night’s trick-or-treating.
As they were walking Cole asked, “Do you want to go to the Haunted House at the end of Kilsamaski Street?” John said,  “Later. I want to get candy first.” They continued to Harlot Street. John saw a house that was owned by Mr. and Ms. Jonas, and they walked toward it.
The light flickered off as they crept toward it. Little did they know that the door led to Kilsamaski Street! The Haunted House sucked them in. They tried to hold on to the vivid green door. The Haunted House succeeded in sucking them in.
From that night on they were never seen again! Their parents never suspected a thing until some kids told them. The parents were hopeless and were never the same again.

Togetherness, thoughtfulness
Words of significance
Both to describe my family
A strong bond of pure excellence

Ever heard of this saying
“There’s no place like home”
Around the people you love
And all the support they’ve shown

One large heart-felt hug
That’ll squeeze my body, yes
Like a child and a warm blanket
So tight, that feeling’s the best

I’m a real family person
They’re my own special pearls
Trust and believe
This genuine Slaughter girl

My Dream

MY DREAM OF BEING
A POLICE OFFICER

My dream is that I want to be a police officer. The reason I want to be one is if you think about it “What would happen if there wasn’t any police officer?” I think we need more police officers to protect people, communities, towns and this world. I want everyone to be safe so that they won’t have to look over their shoulders, too see if trouble is coming or not. My mom’s friend Debra Cox is an officer, and she talked to me about what made her want to become a police officer. She said that she saw somebody one day getting abused by a man. She called the cops and they arrived. She said that she wanted to be one every since that happened so she can save people lives. After she talked to me, I thought about it, and since then, I wanted to become a police officer. My dream of being a police officer has lasted for 1 ½ years now, so it may come reality one day.  If I want to be one it takes hard work, staying out of trouble and staying in school.
