Once upon a time there lived a farmer. He was planting seeds when he heard something. He turned around and saw crows! They were taking his crops!
“Shoo, shoo!” He yelled at the crows!
“Caw!Caw!” the crows answered back.
The farmer’s wife called: “Honey, supper’s ready!”
“Coming!” He called to her. “Don’t ever come back!”
He shook his fist at the crows.
So, the farmer went inside. The food was getting cold. While the farmer was eating the crows came back, but he did not know it. In the morning the farmer woke up early. He went to see how the crops were doing. He was surprised that all the seeds were gone. He went inside and told his wife and children about the the seeds being all gone. They stayed up all night discussing their problem. They decided to sell the land and move to the city where the crows don’t eat the seeds. They loved their new house and they never had to deal with stealing crows again.

Scarecrows are used in many different countries and cultures including Japan , Korea, the USA and Denmark.
Have you ever built a scarecrow?
