Martin, Mac and Cheese still in need of forever homes!

Martin, Mac and Cheese still in need of forever homes!
By: Savanah Eve Stewart

If you are looking to add a new furry friend to your family please consider adopting an older dog.  Martin, Mac and Cheese are still available for adoption at For Paws Boutique in Auburn.
Though most people want to adopt a puppy there are some wonderful benefits to adopting an older dog.  Martin, Mac and Cheese are already housebroken…no need for puppy pads! They have had all their shots and are also neutered.  These 3 dogs all walked well on the leash and have learned some basic commands such as “sit” and “stay”.  They are much calmer and are always so grateful for a loving pat on the head.
Martin is the sweet Alabama brown dog with 3 legs.  If you think that this is a handicap to him it definitely is not.  Dogs carry 70% of their weight on their front legs.  Martin is missing his back leg and gets along as well as any other dog.  Martin has a big heart and is still waiting patiently for someone to love and appreciate him for the wonderful pet he is.
Mac and Cheese are beautiful black lab mixes.  Even though they were abandoned at a young age you would never know it because of their sweet dispositions.  Lab puppies are known for their intelligence and their loyalty and make wonderful family pets.  Mac and Cheese are no exception and are also waiting patiently for a loving family.
If you are interested in learning more or even visiting these 3 precious dogs please contact Rebecca at For Paws Boutique at 502-7900.

The Best Gamer

The Best Gamer
by Keith Nelms, 7th Grade, Amy Holley’s Class, Loachapoka High School

I want to show you how I beat all my games, some of them. In the newspaper I want them to call me “The best Gambler ever in all Nintendo systems”. My first system is the Gamecube and the game I beat is “Paper Mario & the Thousand Year Door”. The second system is the Gameboy SP and the game I beaten is “Mario vs. Donkey Kong”. Third system is the Nintendo Ds Lite and the game I’ve beaten is “Kirby Squeak Squad”. The last system is the Wii and the game I beaten is “Super Mario Galaxy”. The other system I play is Nintendo 64 and the game I beaten already is “Cruis’n World” and I got the car I wanted is the “Speed Demon”. I got the Speed Demon by earning 9999 points. There are still more games I have to beat, but I can do it. There are some games that are a little hard but I will do my best. And that contains my story about my games of how I beat my games on every system.

All About Jennifer Lazure

Jennifer Lazure, 7th Grade, Amy Holley’s Class, Loachapoka High School

Hi, my name is Jennifer Lazure. I was born on August 02, 1996. My mom’s name is Darlene Lazure –Reilly and my dads name is Joseph Reilly. When my mom and dad got married, I was 6 years old. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law. There names are Joseph, Susan, Nicole, and Angel Cudara. When I was 11 years old my sister Susan had a daughter. Her name is Ashley Cudura. Now she is 2 years old and about to turn 3 on January 6. Ashley is my niece.

I am very good at jump roping, and going on the internet and going to listen to Michael Jackson’s songs. I love to listen to Michael Jackson songs. That I play the clarinet. I’ve been playing it for 2 years now. But when my mom and my sister are at work Nicole, Joseph, and I have to watch Ashley till hey come home.

But when I have school and every body has work Ashley has to go to day care for 9:00 to 12:00 every day. When mom and Susan can’t go get her from day care mommy has one of her best known friend get her from day care. She calls it school. When I grow up I want to be a special agent. This is because when I watch NCIS. I got an idea that is why I want to be a special agent.

When I was little I was very bad. This is because I always got in trouble in school. But when I was in the 5 grade I got paddle for throwing rocks. I did not hear what they were said about throwing rocks. It was Courtney and I that got paddle for throwing rocks. Then on the way to lunch we got it. I wouldn’t throw rocks anymore.

When I turn 13, I am in the 7 grade. Now I am thirteen and in junior high. This is because when I came to Alabama I was in the 4 grade. We stayed back once. This is because I came in the middle of the year. I could have gone to the 5 grade but we had to stay back. So now I am in the 7 grade and older than every body but I am not older then 2to3 kids in my classes.

Now you know all about me. I hope you like it. There is a lot about me. But I don’t want to say this. This is because I am scared to say it. This was the best story I ever wrote. But it was about me. There was one thing that I forgot to say that I am 1 minute older then Nicole. Nicole and I are twins. We are fraternal twins. Thank you for reading my story. I love to say that I am very different from Nicole and in other things.
