Before the first raindrops fell on Plainsman Park this past weekend, Joseph Sanders knew a storm was on its way.
His broken jaw told him so.

A Sunday mid-afternoon thunderstorm swooped on Plainsman Park, sending whatever was left of the 2,209 fans in attendance out the gates and prompting a near-heroic covering of the field by a shorthanded groundscrew.

For the second consecutive night, Ole Miss dismissed Auburn well before the seventh-inning stretch Saturday, as the Rebels used a four-run third inning to coast to an 8-2 victory before 2,672 fans at Plainsman Park.

Ole Miss beat Auburn on Friday night in a style that the Tigers have yet to do against one of their conference opponents in this dwindling-away season.
