The Auburn baseball team will close out a season-long seven-game home stand this weekend when it plays host to Brown for a four-game series at Plainsman Park, beginning at 6 p.m. today.

The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. before closing out the series on Sunday, also starting at 1 p.m.

Auburn will send Grant Dayton (0-1, 5.06) to the hill in the opener and will use Jon Luke Jacobs (0-0, 6.48) and Ty Kelley (0-0, 6.23) in Saturday’s double-header. Sunday’s starter has yet to be determined.

Brown will counter with Will Weidig (0-1, 3.38) today, Mark Gormley(1-0, 4.50) in the first game on Saturday and Josh Feit (0-0, 0.00) in the second game of the double-dip on Saturday.

Brown has yet to announce its Sunday starter.

Auburn enters the series leading the SEC with 20 home runs through nine games, the most homers this early in a season in Auburn history. Joseph Sanders (six) and So. OF Trent Mummey (four) lead the team in homers, but all nine players that have started at least seven games this season have contributed to the team homer total.

Mummey also enters the game leading the SEC in runs scored with 19 and is seventh in the SEC with a .441 batting average, hitting safely in a team-best eight straight games after being moved to the leadoff spot in the third game of the season.

The matchup will be the first between the two schools.

Fans attending Saturday’s double-header will need just one ticket for both games.

Sunday’s game is Family Day, where fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four drinks for $30. The team will also sign autographs after the game.
