Another week, another injury for the Auburn baseball team.
Outfielder Justin Fradejas injured his left hand and will be limited to a pinch-running role for the Tigers for the next several weeks.
The right-handed hitting junior hurt his hand while swinging the bat during Auburn’s season-opening loss to Southeast Missouri State.
In his only starting appearance, Fradejas was 1-for-3 with a home run.
He was also used as a pinch runner in the bottom of the 10th on Saturday, scoring the game-winning run on Creede Simpson’s single.
Auburn (2-1) returns to the field this weekend when it plays host to Boston College, Florida Atlantic and Missouri during the Auburn Classic.
Prior to Saturday’s Auburn-Missouri game at 3 p.m., Auburn will induct Tim Hudson, Bo Jackson, Gregg Olson and Frank Thomas into its inaugural Wall of Fame class.
