Auburn senior forward Lucas Hargrove has been named to the 2010 SEC Basketball Community Service Team, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday.

This past year, Hargrove visited children and cancer patients at the East Alabama Medical Center, ran in the East Alabama Medical Center Cancer Race and served dinner at the American Red Cross’ “A Meal for Haiti” event on Auburn’s campus.

The Pontiac, S.C., native is averaging 12.9 points and is ninth in the SEC averaging 6.9 rebounds per game.

He recorded two consecutive double-doubles with 24 points and 11 rebounds vs. Georgia on Feb. 10 and 20 points and 10 boards at Mississippi State on Feb. 13.
