The Auburn men’s basketball program has assisted the Midsouth Division of the American Cancer Society for the sixth straight year with raising more than $7,500 for the Coaches vs. Cancer Program.

A silent auction held during the Auburn-Kentucky game on January 16 raised $6,681, and $1,015 has been contributed from donations received.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).  The NABC encourages basketball coaches and their teams to make a difference in the fight against cancer by sponsoring annual events in their local communities. Coach Jeff Lebo is one of more than 2,000 coaches in Divisions I, II and III involved in the Coaches vs. Cancer Program.

Auburn Basketball and the American Cancer Society are still taking donations for this year’s Coaches vs. Cancer contributions.  To donate, please make your check payable to “The American Cancer Society” and mail them to Coaches vs. Cancer, Auburn Men’s Basketball, P. O. Box 351 Auburn, AL 36831
