WAHIAWA, Hawaii — The Auburn men’s golf team finished the opening round of the 2009 John Burns Intercollegiate in fifth place, following an opening round 283.

Wolfe to join AU soccer team
Jessica Wolfe will join the Auburn soccer team in the fall of 2009, Auburn Head Coach Karen Hoppa announced on Wednesday.
Wolfe, originally from Hazel Green, is a 5’7” center-mid that plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. She also has plenty of ODP experience as a member of the Region III 91 Pool, traveling for the Spain Tour in 2008, the same year she served as the team captain. With IMG, she has twice played on the Club Director’s League Championship team and also helped it to a 2008 Orange Classic and CASL Tournament championship.
“We are excited to add Jess to this class. Her experience with ODP and her training at IMG has prepared her to compete in the SEC,” Hoppa said. “She has great passion for the game, is a strong leader, and has an outstanding work rate. Her style of possession will fit in well at Auburn.”
Wolfe will join the eight women that signed NLI’s earlier this month with Auburn as incoming freshmen in the fall semester.
