Staff Report

12/30 at 12:28 AM

Auburn’s women’s basketball team will return to action at 6 p.m. today at Auburn Arena against in-state opponent Jacksonville State.

After slipping past Chicago State on Dec. 21 and pounding Alabama A&M on Tuesday, the Tigers will try to string together three consecutive wins tonight for the first time all season.

A win against the Gamecocks (4-8) would also put Auburn (6-6) above .500 for the first time all season

Alli Smalley enters tonight’s matchup as the Tigers’ leading scorer, averaging 12.8 points per game. Blanche Alverson’s averaging 10.7 points per contest, while Jordan Greenleaf — who put up 15 against Alabama A&M — is averaging 8.4 points per game.

Tonight’s game will be the Tigers’ final contest before they open up SEC play at Alabama on Sunday.
