Auburn senior Julie Dwyer won her final all-around title in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum on Friday, as No. 12 Auburn (7-7, 0-6 SEC) defeated No. 14 Michigan State (11-4) 195.325-194.050 on Senior Night.

“Julie went out the same way she came in four years ago by winning the all-around in stunning fashion,” said Auburn head coach Jeff Thompson.

Dwyer placed first on two events; bars, 9.825, and beam, 9.900.

She placed second on vault scoring 9.850, and third on floor scoring 9.775. Her overall score totaled 39.350.

Auburn’s A.J. Mills placed third in the all-around with an overall score of 39.200. Mills tied for first on floor with a score of 9.825.

“A.J. once again had a great night,” said Thompson. “She has become the consistent, confident gymnast that we need at this point in the season.”

Junior Lindsey Puckett placed third on vault scoring 9.825. Senior Aimee Goheen placed third on bars scoring a season-high 9.800.

The Tigers will travel to Tuscaloosa next Friday to face Alabama for their final meet of the regular season before the conference championship.
