A total of 23 Auburn student-athletes graduated as part of the Auburn University summer 2010 graduating class Monday.

The second day of the USA Swimming 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships saw four current and former Auburn swimmers compete in the evening session at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif., on Wednesday.

After winning two silver medals and a bronze at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and establishing herself as one of the top swimmers in the world, racing in the pool is more of an outlet for fun now than it ever was before for Margaret Hoelzer.

With the start of fall practice rapidly approaching, the Auburn soccer team will begin its preparations for the 2010 season Aug. 4, as it gears up for one of the more challenging schedules in recent history.

BIRMINGHAM — Auburn sophomore Blayne Barber (13-under) placed third at the 104th Southern Amateur, shooting 2-under in Saturday’s final round at the Shoal Creek Golf Club in Birmingham.
