Let Your Guests Help You Capture Reception Memories

Table cameras are tons of fun. Your guests will capture moments your photographer can’t. Also, if your photographer charges by the hour and you are only wanting snapshots at the reception, this can be a great way to save a little money.

You will want to appoint someone to collect all the cameras after the reception. The same person can also make an announcement about how to use the cameras at the beginning of the reception. You should expect a couple of the cameras to grow legs, but most guests are happy to snap a few pictures and leave the camera behind when they depart.

If you are really lucky, someone will offer to have the film developed for you as a wedding gift. If you are even luckier, you may be presented with some or all of the disposable cameras you need as a shower gift.

As a backup plan, ask someone to take these photos and drop them off at the lab so that you can pick them up when you get back from your honeymoon. When you return, you’ll enjoy looking through candid pictures of practically every guest at your reception.
