On the last full weekend in June, savor ripe, juicy peaches as airplanes fill the sky, parade floats drift down the street, and a Peach Queen is crowned at the Lions-Club-sponsored Clanton Peach Festival. There are also several events leading up to the Peach Festival like the Peach Fishing Tournament sponsored by the Rotary Club and the Peach Cook-Off sponsored by the Alabama Cooperative Extension. Exercise enthusiast will enjoy the Cornerstone Peach Run sponsored by Cornerstone Fitness and Wellness. Music lovers will delight in the Chamber-of-Commerce-Sponsored event, the Peach Jam Jubilee.
