Built in 1915, the Victorian-style, Dothan Opera House is a center for the region’s cultural life. Theatrical productions, ballets, symphony performances and more continue to awe audiences almost a century after this stunning landmark was built. The Theater seats 590, and although the building is on the National Register of Historic Buildings, it boasts state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment. Besides its gorgeous interior, the Dothan Opera House also has excellent acoustics — so good, that the Atlanta Symphony has used the facility for recordings.
